So I have been really looking for a new skin care routine and I have to admit that I was never much of a skin care person. I just washed my face with whatever face wash I had in the shower and didn’t give it another thought. Lately though, I have noticed my skin being extremely dry, dull and have had some troublesome breakouts. I know that skincare is one of the most important parts of your daily routine and sets the bar for other things such as how well your makeup applies. I had researched quite a few different brands and landed upon Mario Badescu – a NYC based company started in 1967. Mario was a chemist and a cosmetologist, so with his background in science, he was able to produce a scientifically backed skin care line. His products are not animal tested and are made using fresh botanically based ingredients.

After researching his line and taking into consideration my skin type I landed upon these products. I have been using them for about a month and have already seen an improvement in my skin. The best results are seen in 6-8 weeks, so I could see changes until then!

– Enzyme Cleansing Gel removes oil, dirt and makeup and has papaya and citrus extracts. I wasn’t too sure if I was going to like this at first because it doesn’t have any texture at all to it and it doesn’t foam. It is exactly what it says – a gel. I have really grown to like it though, it removes my makeup really well. I do recommend having your face only slightly damp when using this.

– Glycolic Acid Toner gently exfoliates and reduces dullness. I use this directly after cleansing and apply with a cotton ball.

– Oil free moisturizer SPF 30 provides sun protection and ultra hydration. Also is infused with a green tea antioxidant.

– Seaweed Night Cream helps to plump, firm and nourish lackluster skin. This is extremely hydrating.

– Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater is ultimate hydration. A fine mist that can be sprayed with or without makeup to keep skin looking dewy! { It doesn’t mess with your makeup either!}

– Drying Lotion is magic spot treatment in a little bottle! It clears and drys whiteheads and troublesome spots overnight with a combo of calamine and salicylic acid.

I bought these products at Anthropologie, but I also think that Ulta and Sephora carries this brand as well. They have a wide range of products and a customizing tool on their website so you can find the products that are perfectly suited for your skin! Just thought I would share with you, just in case you are looking to change up your routine!
